feet position      gripping the bat      arm position     bat position
There is a generally accepted approach that is useful in
verifying the correct position of the batter's grip.  The player's
second (middle) grouping of knuckles on both hands should be
aligned (or closely aligned) when the bat is gripped correctly.
This method is often referred to as the 'aligning of the door
knocking knuckles'.

gripping the bat

Parents and coaches should always encourage young players to grip the bat more in
the fingers area of the hand.  This method allows for greater flexibility in the wrists in the
batter's approach to the ball.  Holding the bat in the palms of the hands as many young
hitters do hinders mobility and limits the range of motion in hitting all pitches in the strike
zone.
